Commentary
We suffered extreme damage to our condominium from Hurricane Ian in September 2022. Unfortunately,
one window was broken which allowed water to enter and sat on the entire floor of our residence for
several days before reseeding. Further, as there was no electric power for several months, we could not
raise the shutters. The compressors could not run plus they actually were blown off the roof. We could
not have any air circulation. The result was a tremendous battle with black mold, which led to any
contents that could be salvaged placed in storage and the rest had to be disposed of. The remaining
structure of our unit had to be taken down to the studs to permit the remediation for health reasons of all
remaining structural elements.

This meant that we could not manage the repair and construction efforts on our own. One extremely
good thing that happened to us was being introduced to an excellent General Contractor named
Architectural Builders. The entire organization could not have been more focused on providing the
important assistance and guidance we would require for this complete restoration activity. Lead by
designer Curt Gunder and General Manger Logan Gunder, Architectural Builders helped us manage
every aspect of our complete restoration. The in-house coordinator, Ashley, kept track of every detail for
our selection process. Ashley set up a schedule to show who we could contact, helped set appointments,
then provided a detailed format to display every selection we made, of which there were many. This firm
helped us in many ways. They provided us with a list of quality and previously vetted sub-contactors in
every aspect of our construction needs. The list they provided was extremely thorough and helped us
navigate and meet with all necessary suppliers and contractors. In addition, they provide a detailed list
of every supplier of replacement materials, from plumbing fixtures to granite tops, cabinets, flooring, etc.
Every sub-contractor who we met with was extremely helpful and Logan Gunder helped smooth this
important selection process.

Then comes the extremely important and grueling process of making the restoration. Logan and his
team of project managers ensured every detail of the onsite construction was managed to the max.
There were a few times when the restoration work was not up to our standards or the high standards of
Logan and the Architectural Builders Project Manager team. They, in most cases, made these changes
before we even were able to notice that things just were not right. We made many visits to our home to
review progress. We were so pleased each time that each sub was working to restore our home in the
best manner possible. For anyone who has suffered such a traumatic loss and is not sure how to even
start, let alone manage this daunting task, we would provide the highest recommendation of the
Architectural Builder team. They manage every detail, keep you informed, and give you the peace of
mind that once all aspects are compete you can return and enjoy your home with quality workmanship
and quality materials.

If anyone would like to speak with us directly, please let us know.
